Google Chronicle Security Operations: pricing, ownership, MITRE coverage

Google Security Operations (Chronicle)[5] sells on per-employee pricing, not per-GB. The Standard tier list is roughly $0.65 per employee per month equivalent; Enterprise and Enterprise Plus bundle Mandiant Threat Intelligence and SOAR. 12-month retention is included at every tier[6], which is a structural TCO advantage at high ingest volumes where Splunk and Sentinel charge per-month per-GB of warm storage.
Mandiant inside
Mandiant Threat Intelligence is bundled into the Enterprise Plus tier. For a buyer who would otherwise procure threat intel separately the bundled cost is the headline number, not the per-employee unit.
Where Chronicle loses
Splunk ES content library still beats Chronicle on detection breadth. For a US mid-market shop without Google Workspace the integration premium is real. Chronicle wins on cost; Splunk wins on ecosystem.

Mandiant fully integrated into Enterprise Plus tier. Gemini for Security Operations generally available with detection authoring and case summarisation.
